LEE TUTOR'S GUIDE FOR ROULETTE PLAYERS AND INVESTORS

Should you ever play roulette online?

10 things to check out before reaching for your credit card.

How safe is your money when you play online  roulette?
Lee Tutor writes: My book 'The Roulette Winner' teaches players how to win playing roulette in a real casino. By all means practice your skills with fun money in the virtual environment of online casinos but don't gamble there with real money.

Despite all the assurances you hear from casinos and independent bodies about fair play I would strongly advise that you stay away from online roulette games especially those where the numbers are produced by random number generators -RNG-.
Now I know that many will claim that there is no difference at all between real casino spins and virtual roulette spins, or that computer generated spins are fair and that it is safe to gamble at the many virtual casinos that now litter the net but I'm simply not convinced!

I've heard too many complaints from players who have lost money online either because they could not withdraw their lawful winnings or because the casino suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth with their deposits or because they lost when the last thirty bets were all red while they were betting on black!
Personally I always play in brick and mortar casino buildings, on real roulette wheels spun by human dealers and where I know that at the end of the game I can leave the casino with real cash in my hand!

Today there are some casinos that will enable you to bet online while you’re at home. It seems you can play a fair and real game of roulette observing the wheel, dealers and players in real time from the comfort of your home. Even if we were to assume for one moment that these online real games are indeed completely fair … (can you ever be 100% sure? ) the problem is three-fold:

First of all if you transfer funds to online gambling sites your bank can know immediately that you gamble and how often you do this. Banks don’t really like you transferring money away from them and that is probably the reason why it is now illegal for US players to gamble online. If you gamble online you might find that your credibility with your bank goes down rapidly. They might even have you pegged as 'gambler'. The great advantage about gambling in a real casino is that you'll always be paid in cash and no-one else will ever know about it!

Second if you accept bonuses at the online casinos you might not be able to withdraw your winnings until you’ve risked a huge amount of money gambling. So if you do play online, despite what many so called experts advise, never ever accept casino bonuses!

Finally gambling from the comfort of your armchair might seem enticing however you might fall into a false sense of security and make stupid bets that you wouldn’t have made if you were there present and awake in the hustle and bustle of a real casino. Psychology plays a major part in gambling and my personal choice is to place my own wagers while sitting next to the spinning wheel from where I can be aware of everything that's happening around me.

Online Reality Check

At least ask yourself the following ten questions before reaching for your credit card!

1. Is this casino in question licensed? Is it legal and safe for me to gamble there? By the laws of which country is the casino bound?

2. How safe is it to bank with them? Is there information available about who owns and operates the casino? Could I contact the manager by phone and email him whenever I need to?

3. What software do they provide? Can I get a live game with real wheels and dealers?
Is there a risk of downloading viruses or spy-ware programs that can then reveal to others private information sitting in my PC?

4. Is it toll free? And what happens to my bets if the connection is suddenly cut off in the middle of play?

5. What are the restrictions for withdrawing money? How quickly will I be allowed to withdraw my winnings? Once a day, once a week, once a month?

6. Are there hidden credit card or other charges in force? How much are these?

7. Do I have to accept bonuses that require me to wager a lot more money than I’d want to? (some online casinos require that you risk sixty times or more the bonus amount given to you before you can withdraw any of your winnings. Sometimes they even require that you gamble on other games and not roulette! )
Can I play without any bonuses at all so that I can withdraw my winnings immediately and at any time I like?

8. Have I read ALL the small print carefully? Have there been any complaints or warnings made against that casino by other players on the internet.

9. How will gambling affect my credit profile and relationship with my bank manager? Would my bank see me as a potential risk and so refuse to give me something like a mortgage loan in the future?

10. Could I hide my gambling activities from my bank by going through a third party such as Paypal or Neteller online account? What charges are involved in doing this?

Unless you have answered all the above questions satisfactorily don't gamble online!
